Lately I have been sitting around on my computer. Still.
I notice when I am still I find myself in more pain than when I am active. So I started making myself roll out my yoga mat. I sat down with no intention of a flow or stretch sequence. I just let my body tell me what it needs.
Some days I need to stretch my hips more, other days it’s my arms and shoulders. Though every day I feel so much better for having set aside time to bring blood flow back to my tendons, ligaments, and muscles. Eventually, I want to start doing more strength training and pilates. But for now, I am happy with my little moments of movement. Even if there is dog hair all over my mat!
