Mia Wallace Halloween costume

November 2, 2022

A classic costume… Mia Wallace from Pulp Fiction! I hate buying costumes I wear once, so I try to find things in my closet that can function as a costume. I got a black bob wig (which is a super versatile costume piece) and picked some clothes out of my closet! A sustainable Halloween 🎃

Check out the IG video I posted.

Gabe went as the Pope, together we are… Pope Fiction 😂

People don’t realize how much trash and waste is generated by holidays like Halloween. From the spooky decorations to the costumes from Fashion Nova and Shein, there’s a lot of waste. A lot of my girlfriends ordered several ensembles from several different fast fashion sites in case some didn’t fit.

And honestly, we need options. Halloween in LA is a marathon event. That’s why they call it Halloweekend (or as I called it in college, Halloweek). You need a new outfit for every night you go out. However, that doesn’t mean you need to buy another cheap, plastic outfit for every night you go out.

I like to pull options from things I already have. Maybe I’ll order one staple piece that can be incorporated into a bunch of different costumes and outfits. This year I ordered a black bob wig from Amazon. There are so many characters you can portray with this one closet addition. Usually, I forget Halloween is coming until days before and Amazon is great for knowing if your order will arrive on time or not.

With a black bob wig your costume can be;

  • Mia Wallace from Pulp Fiction
  • Edna Mode from The Incredibles
  • Buttercup from The Power Puff Girls
  • Posh Spice from The Spice Girls
  • Tina Belcher from Bob’s Burgers
  • Betty Rubble from The Flintstones
  • Snow White from Snow White and the Huntsman

The list goes on!

For my Mia Wallace getup, I wore a pair of black pants with a white button-up. Two staples I have in my closet at all times. And now with the black wig, I have opened up a whole new world of outfit possibilities.
