Setting up for self-tapes is a b*tch. I guess if you have an in-house self-tape studio and you don’t have to set up for self-tapes it’s probably chill. You still have to prep and memorize your lines and whatnot. But doing all of that on top of attempting to rig up a background and some lighting equipment, is a disaster.

I don’t have the luxury of having a photo studio in my house, yet. SO instead I use a series of ring lights and iPhones on tripods to get my desired knockoff studio lighting effect.
