Every girl should have a trip dress. What do I mean by this? It goes with you on every trip.

When I am packing, I have a dress that I bring everywhere. I can wear it literally anywhere for any occasion. I could wear it to a farmer’s market and it would feel cool and casual. Or I could wear it to a wedding and it would feel elegant and chic.

I found my dress, or rather it found me, at a thrift store in Aspen, Colorado.

I needed something to wear to a fundraiser I was going to later that evening. I went to the trift store with my friend and we both picked something out.

Later that night at the event, I was in the bathroom and I ran into another friend. She smiled, and said that looks so much better on you! We laughed. And now that dress has come with me to Mexico, Croatia, Colombia, and all over the US. I actually just broke a strap and need to get it repaired.

I love thrifting because it helps items of clothes find the homes that they belong in. Or in my case, the suitcase that they belong in.
