Latest Obsession: Hairpieces

I’ve been really into hair pieces lately. They easily transform a normal hairstyle to an elevated version. There are a few different types of hairpieces that I have found, I’m going to share them below!

I haven’t really dipped my toe into true hair extentions yet, so these pulls are more like hair-colored hair accessories. If that makes sense…

Chic Fish Tail Headband

Shown below, this fishtail headband matches my hair and blends right in.

It is so easy to wear – it’s literally just a headband. I wore it on New Year’s Eve and everyone was asking me how I did my hair like that. (Watch my NYE get-ready-with-me here)

Secrets out, it’s like $15 from Amazon.

The braided headband comes in a bunch of different colors.

Y2K Spiky Bun

I can’t find a good dupe for this one online yet. I found it in a random CVS in Texas and it matched my hair too perfectly not to buy it.

The spiky bun was the first piece that introduced me to hairpieces.

You put it on and you immediately have the perfect spiky bun around a perfect ballerina bun. It’s great. I’m obsessed. Will keep an eye out for this product for sure, bc I can’t find it online at the moment.

The Off-Duty Model Hairstyle

This photo is from Fashion Week but you get the idea. I feel like this is a quintessential off-duty model hairstyle. It’s sleek, it’s chic, its effortless, its timeless.

And it’s basically foolproof.

This one is also from Amazon, it came with bobby pins but I have never needed to use them. I just tie my bun down with a thin hair tie then use this one on top.

It comes in a pack of 2 or 4, I guess you could use a series of them around your bun to make it like the previous one. This extension comes in a few different hair colors.

This piece elevates a regular bun updo.

The Arianna Grande ponytail hairpiece

This next piece is more of a hair extension than a hair accessory. I think it can be used to boost the length of your ponytail, but it is primarily used to add fullness to a bun.

So if you have very fine or thin hair that makes for a small bun, you can use these to increase hair volume.

I haven’t tried this one yet but it’s next on my list!

Do you have recommendations for hair accessories or extensions? This has been such a fun thing to have in my closet, it changes an outfit immediately.
